Read the comments first: a YouTube time-saving trick

Quick answer

A popular life tip: before watching a long video, scroll to the comments. Someone has usually posted the answer, the timestamp, or a warning that it's a waste of time.

What 125x is: 125x is a web app at 125x.app. You connect your YouTube subscriptions, and it gives you a feed of the latest videos from the channels you follow, each with a summary: a verdict, the 5 key takeaways, and the spoiler, plus Actionable and Lessons tabs with more tips. You read that and decide what's actually worth opening.

What to look for

Pinned comments from the creator, often with chapters or corrections.
Comments with timestamps like '14:32 the actual answer'.
'Saved you a click' replies that give away the point.
Top comments calling out clickbait or outdated info.

Where it falls short

Top comments are often jokes.
Comments on new videos are thin.
Spoilers you didn't want, for entertainment videos.
You still end up in the comment section, scrolling.

Speed it up

Sort by Top comments.
Search the page for a colon to spot timestamps.
Check the description for chapters first.
Use chapters to jump. See skip to the good part.

How 125x fits

For the channels you follow, 125x does the 'is this worth it' check up front. Every video gets a summary, takeaways and a verdict of watch, skim or skip, so you're not digging through comments to find out.
